The Western Bulldogs are aware of a video appearing on You Tube, which features a number of its players filmed during a trip to Hong Kong at the end of last season.

On the video several players can be seen acting in a manner deemed to be completely in contrast to the expected behaviours of Western Bulldog players.

Whilst the behaviour is very much out of character from an individual and organisational perspective, it remains totally unacceptable from the Club’s view point and it will not be tolerated.

The way Western Bulldog players represent themselves in the community has been a great source of pride for our Club over a long period of time. A significant amount of time and resources has, and will continue to be, invested into ensuring all Western Bulldogs players conduct themselves in a manner reflecting our cultural and behavioural expectations, which makes this matter all the more disappointing.

Whilst this incident occurred in the off season and was not at a Club sanctioned event, we do not excuse this type of behaviour at any time. The Club holds our players to the highest behavioural standards and will continue to do so. This incident acts as a clear reminder to everyone involved as to what is expected of them at all times.

We are extremely frustrated and disappointed by what has occurred. The incident has already been handled internally and we now consider the matter to be closed.
