WEST Coast has continued its stunning resurgence with the third biggest win in club history, Josh Kennedy booting 10 goals in a dominant 123-point victory over the Western Bulldogs at Patersons Stadium on Sunday.

The Eagles were irresistible in the second half, kicking 17 of the game's last 18 goals to notch their biggest ever win over the Bulldogs, 26. 19. (175) to 8. 4. (52).

Kennedy became just the fourth West Coast player to kick 10 goals or more in a match, joining Scott Cummings, Peter Sumich and teammate Mark LeCras. His 10.3 was the fourth best individual return by an Eagle.

The win launches last year's wooden spooners into sixth place on the ladder and they face reigning premier Collingwood next week looking every bit like a top-four side.

West Coast enjoyed an initial five-goal burst to open the game before the Bulldogs clawed back to within 22 points early in the third term.

From there they were unstoppable, with young midfielder Luke Shuey finishing with 27 possessions and five goals in a dominant display against seasoned opponents.

Dean Cox (23 possessions, 33 hit-outs and two goals) and Mark LeCras (29 possessions, eight inside 50s and three goals) were other Eagles to star in a memorable win.

Meanwhile the Bulldogs, who have lost four of their past five games, sit in 11th spot - two-and-a-half games adrift of the top four - and face a tough three-week stretch. Their season has been thrown into turmoil.

Coach Rodney Eade had no answer for Kennedy, who saw off Tom Williams, Dale Morris and Lukas Markovic.

He kicked his 10th goal 23 minutes into the final quarter and every Eagle on the ground ran to celebrate with him.

Coach John Worsfold this week moved to hose down hype about his team's top-eight chances, but the coach will be powerless to dim the excitement surrounding West Coast now.

QUARTER BY QUARTER
First quarter
The Eagles started on fire with the Bulldogs unable to do anything or handle the pressure applied on them. It took just three minutes for Josh Kennedy and Dean Cox to both kick majors, and then after 16 minutes Kennedy had added another two and Luke Shuey one to leave the Dogs shell-shocked.

While Robert Murphy and Liam Jones got the Bulldogs on the board, a fourth to Kennedy just before the siren ensured the Eagles led by 28 points at quarter-time highlighting their dominance.

Second quarter
The Bulldogs did lift their intensity levels in the second quarter, but still weren’t able to close the gap significantly.

Quick early goals to Brennan Stack and Jones following Kennedy's fifth to start the term for the Eagles had the deficit back to 22 points, but it was again Shuey and Kennedy that made West Coast still held sway by over five goals at the main break.

Third quarter
The Bulldogs started the third quarter impressively with two quick goals to close to with 22 points, but any hope they had of a comeback was ended abruptly when the Eagles went on a tear to kick the next seven goals to put the game beyond doubt by three quarter-time.

Fourth quarter
It was party time in the last quarter with the Bulldogs unable to even look like scoring while the Eagles piled on another seven goals, including three for Mark LeCras and two more for Kennedy to give him 10 for the game.

In the end, West Coast kicked the last 11 goals of the game, and 17 of the last 18, in a complete demolition of a Bulldogs team that has played off in the last three preliminary finals.
