The Western Bulldogs and the Western Region Football League (WRFL) are proud to announce a new partnership to support junior footy in Melbourne’s West.

This new partnership will see the Western Bulldogs and the WRFL teaming up to increase AFL participation in the Western Region and to create a unique Bulldogs experience for the regions 5,000 WRFL juniors.

The Bulldogs will also sponsor the team of the month and player of the week competitions with prizes up for grabs throughout the year.

WRFL Chief Executive, Bob Tregear said he was delighted to launch this exciting partnership with the Western Bulldogs.

“The Bulldogs and the WRFL are the “bookends” of football across the west,” Mr Tregear said.

“Thousands of boys and girls start-out playing in the WRFL, and a few lucky ones end-up in the AFL and the Bulldogs - just like Wallis, Liberatore and Giansiracusa.

“Many more will be happy and loyal Bulldogs supporters for life”.

Bulldogs Chief Executive Simon Garlick also praised the partnership and welcomed the WRFL aboard as the Clubs Junior Partner.

“This is an exciting new partnership that will support the development of AFL in the West of Melbourne, Australia’s fastest growing region,” Garlick said.

“We look forward to working with the WRFL to provide a unique Bulldog experience to thousands of young footy fans while also encouraging them to be active and healthy”.
