Season Overview:
The second year rookie elevation was a standout in the VFL this season with Jason Johannisen eventually making his senior debut in round 19. A medial ligament injury sidelined him for a number of weeks in the middle of the year but he found form quickly on return. He was serviceable in his three senior games, demonstrating poise and composure across the wing and through defence. The young utility has pace and good foot skills which highlighted in his three senior outings for the Club.

By the Numbers:
A career high 20 disposals in his third senior game was a solid result for the East Fremantle product. Personal records with five inside 50s, four clearances, four marks and kicking his first AFL goal were also highlights for the 19 year-old. He ended the season with a disposal efficiency of 82%, ranking him fifth at the Club in that stat.

Pre-Season Focus:
Continuing to build in stature and endurance will position Johannisen well for next year. While his outside dash comes naturally, he has improved greatly with his contested ball skills and a focus on this is likely to remain.
