A young but hungry line up will make up the 24 man squad named to take on Port Adelaide this Saturday at the Elastoplast AFL Challenge in London.

Newcomer Koby Stevens has been named alongside emerging talents Luke Dahlhaus, Mitch Wallis, Jordan Roughead and Tom Liberatore in the team of 16 with eight on the extended interchange bench.

Bulldogs Coach, Brendan McCartney said that the match represented a good opportunity to see the young players in action.

"You can't help but be excited about being at the Oval - and we are really looking forward to getting another look at what the younger players have to offer," McCartney said.

“With young players, the more you see them, the more you learn about them. To see them go away for eight weeks and then to come back and their body shape changes; they’re a bit bigger in the leg and a bit stronger in the hips - you can see their progression and that’s really important,” said McCartney.

“You know you are a step closer to playing pretty well.”
