On Friday 19th March Williamstown played Sandringham in their first practice match for the 2010 season. Williamstown won the game by 40 points, even with inaccurate kicking, Patrick Rose uncharacteristically kicking 5 behinds.

Williamstown Reserves also defeated Sandringham, this time by 17 points after an ordinary first quarter where Willy failed to score against the strong wind. Howevere from that point the team rallied and their accurate kicking for goal became a highlight of the match.
