We are back again for the weekly Williamstown Report and we are very pleased to be joined by Western Bulldogs Development Manager Chris Maple following a big win for the boys over the weekend.
Chris thanks for joining us again after a great win for the boys on Saturday.
Thanks David, it was a very good performance from the Williamstown boys to be the top team by 20 goals. They performed very well, especially after quarter time.
Yes it was a fantastic result and it is pleasing to see Jordan Roughead, Callan Ward and Tim Callan all put in good games.
All those boys put in good performances. Jordan was excellent in the ruck taking on two Melbourne players and had 29 possessions which was outstanding.
Callan Ward had another good game and used the ball very well, he was also hard at it as per usual.
Tim Callan was also very steady down back with 30 possessions and Sam Reid impressed in the midfield.
And following a big win for the Bulldogs on the weekend there is sure to be some more healthy competition for AFL spots.
That’s right, especially when you combine those four with Dylan Addison, Andrejs Everitt, Stephen Tiller and Jarrad Boumann who keep improving every week.
So did you get a chance to say hello to your old mate Casey coach Brad Gotch after the game?
Yes said hello to Brad, he is a good fella who would have been disappointed with their performance I imagine. I am sure he will be keen for them to turn it around next weekend though.
Good to hear but I am sure the focus has now turned to our big game against Sandringham.
Sandringham beat us earlier in the year by a point so I know our boys are keen to get the win this time around.
Fantastic, did anyone impress for the seconds on the weekend?
Yeah our first pick in last year’s Draft Christian Howard had a really good game which was fantastic for him.
Eddie Prato, Jason Tutt and James Mulligan all continue to improve while Lukas Markovic has returned well from a shoulder injury.
That is great news Chris and once again thanks for your time. Looking forward to seeing the improvement and development continue down at Williamstown. See you in a couple of weeks after the break.
