AT 211 centimetres, he's the equal tallest player ever to play League footy.

And not much has changed for former Geelong and Western Bulldogs ruckman Peter Street these days, as he's now one of the tallest members ever of the Victorian Police force.

"It's never boring. You could be going to domestics, assaults or following up on stolen cars, but it's not all doom and gloom, you also get to do some fun stuff," Street said in the latest episode of Life After Footy.

As a constable in Melbourne's western suburbs, the 32-year-old appreciates the many similarities that football and police work share.

"I like the teamwork aspect of the job. It's just like a footy club working at a police station."

After playing 78 games with the Cats and Dogs, Street spurned overtures from the Brisbane Lions to continue on at the highest level, instead turning his attention to local footy back in Geelong.

"I strongly considered the Lions offer but I thought after 10 years in the AFL I'd had enough. I've been at St Joseph's for three years now, still enjoy playing and also ruck coaching with Werribee in the VFL."
