The Western Bulldogs have come away with a clean bill of health after their clash with Sydney Swans on Sunday.
Despite coming from the field late in the game, defender Mark Austin has been cleared of any injury concerns with Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie indicating the heavy knock he received won’t impact his training this week.
“ 'Aussie' got winded pretty badly and needed to come off for a bit of a breather but that settled down quickly and he will be fine this week and back in training,” McKenzie said.
Returning from injury Easton Wood slotted comfortably back into the senior side but was subbed off in the third quarter as a precaution according to McKenzie.
“[Wood] got through comfortably - we obviously subbed him off but that was just because it was his first game back,” he said.
“No problems at all - he is back and running.”
In further positive news, selectors could face a headache with key defender Lukas Markovic and forward Nathan Djerrkura expected to be in contention for Round 11 selection against Port Adelaide.
Rookie Jason Johannisen is also set to return to the field for Williamstown as soon as next week after being restricted to the sidelines with a knee injury.
