As part of the Club’s ongoing relationship with Victoria University (VU) Western Bulldogs star Robert Murphy, today visited a group of over 100 students who have chosen to take part in VU’s Sports Camps program.

The group aged between 6 and 15 years have elected to take part in a variety of weeklong ‘Sports Camps’ run by VU which include sports such as Basketball, Cricket, Golf, Netball, Soccer, Tennis or even Multiple Sports.

As part of the week long activities the group were lucky enough to hear about life as a professional sportsman from Murphy, who proved a real crowd pleaser as he discussed overcoming injury, his idols and gave the kids an insight into his life away from football.

VU Sports Camp Director, Dr Richard Baka said “the University have had a close relationship with the Bulldogs since the inception of our VU Sports Camps 15 years ago, so I would like to thank everyone at the Western Bulldogs for making this happen again in 2011. It was great to have Robert Murphy attend and see the kids listen to him in awe.”
