The Western Bulldogs Round 1 NAB Cup line-up will feature a number of seasoned players as well as four new faces forcing their way into the squad.
The Bulldogs have selected a relatively senior team to face the GWS Giants and Collingwood at Blacktown Sportspark on Saturday night although a number of untried players have been rewarded for impressive showings over the preseason.
Clay Smith, Tory Dickson and Michael Talia have been given the call up to put on the Bulldogs guernsey for the first time after being picked up in the 2011 AFL National Draft, while rookie elevation Matthew Panos has pressed for selection after a solid preseason.
New Senior Coach Brendan McCartney has also put his faith in pacey Zephaniah Skinner who has only made one appearance at AFL level.
The Bulldogs defensive stocks will also be bolstered with Ryan Hargrave returning to the senior side after injury limited him to only five games in 2011.
The Bulldogs will line up against the GWS Giants followed by Collingwood with the first match commencing at 7:15pm on Saturday the 18th of February.
