One forced change this week, with utility Daniel Cross out for the season with an AC joint injury.

Cross, having been used at half back at times this season, leaves the door ajar for Dylan Addison, rookie Jason Johannisen or first year defenders Fletcher Roberts and Michael Talia who have been in solid VFL form.

Zephaniah Skinner, Andrew Hooper and Justin Sherman all had great games at Williamstown and will no doubt come into contention. Sherman was named best-a-field kicking three majors in a low scoring affair and might add the extra pace and goal kicking ability the senior team is looking for.

Injured trio Easton Wood, Adam Cooney and Lukas Markovic will face fitness tests this week which will no doubt add another talking point in the weekly team selection meeting. 

Veteran defender Ryan Hargrave was named in the best, last time the Dogs took on the Kangaroos and might be recalled to play a shut-down role on one of the dangerous Kangaroo forwards.
