Ryan Griffen has been pulling on the Western Bulldogs guernsey for almost ten years but the pride he feels never wanes.

When asked what he loved most about the kennel his message was simple, “…because they have stayed loyal to me”.

Humbled to take on the captain’s tag, the 27-year-old’s passion and dedication to the Club is infectious.

“They have helped me over through the years, they are a real family Club - more of a quieter Club which I like,” Griffen said.

“They are very loyal and I love the club dearly.”

While he already has 183-games and a number of honours and awards to his name, it may just be Griffen’s future seasons that impact and inspire his younger teammates most.
