Following a Board meeting earlier in the week, the Western Bulldogs’ Member Code of Conduct has been formally ratified.

Proposed earlier in May by President Peter Gordon, the code was unanimously accepted by the Club’s Board of Directors following a period of member and fan feedback.

Western Bulldogs Football Director Chris Grant announced the Code’s ratification to the Bulldogs’ supporter base via a video message on westernbulldogs.com.au

Grant acknowledged the feedback of the Club’s members and fans, citing the overwhelming support for its introduction.

“We are proud that our members have led the way in endorsing the code that sets out how we want to be seen as a Club,” said Grant.

“It’s never been more important for football supporters, irrespective of their team, to celebrate in the right way.”

As a Club that prides itself on celebrating diversity and also promoting a positive experience for members, fans and their families – the Bulldogs developed the code to proactively highlight behavioural traits that supporters and stakeholders should embrace.

President Peter Gordon earlier in the month stated that the Code aimed to detail explicitly the expectations    Bulldogs members.

“We want to make it clear that we all expect members to know about that line and to keep it in mind that all of us, in this digital age of the 24 hour news cycle, represent the club in some way...and have an obligation not to let it down."
