Wet conditions began to impact the state of play but both teams battled hard to gain possession and move the ball into their attacking half.
Dahlhaus, Dickson and Johannisen added majors throughout the quarter for the Bulldogs, while stalwarts Picken, Boyd and Murphy were solid in their roles.
