Daniel Cross will add some experience to the Western Bulldogs midfield, after being recalled to take on reigning premiers Sydney on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
One of two inclusions, Cross has played some consistent football at VFL level and replaces fellow midfielder and captain Matthew Boyd who was ruled out with a calf injury.
Tom Campbell’s dominance at the lower level made it easier at the selection table, and his versatility to play forward and in the ruck will help against the Swans’ powerful big men brigade.
Sharing his time between the ruck and forward line, Campbell has seen a return of almost 23 hitouts on average and nine goals from 15 games.
The pair replace Matthew Boyd (calf) and Liam Jones (ankle) in the final side, while Christian Howard, Mark Austin and Jake Stringer have been named as emergencies.
