Five players will make their debut in Western Bulldogs colours on Friday night in the 2013 NAB Cup opener against Essendon and Collingwood at Etihad Stadium.

After impressing in the Indigenous All Stars side last weekend, Brett Goodes will play his first game in the red, white and blue, alongside highly touted youngster Jack Macrae who has also earned a senior call up.

Forward powerhouse Jack Redpath will make his much anticipated debut at senior level after honing his craft with VFL affiliate Williamstown last year, while Nick Lower and Tom Young have also been named in the side for the first time.

The Bulldogs 34 man squad boasts a near full strength team, as the Club looks to kick off its 2013 campaign on a strong note.

Friday’s triple-header will also see veteran Dale Morris return to side after spending 18 months restricted to the sidelines through injury.

The All Australian’s versatility and experience will be a huge boost to the Bulldogs’ back six.

The Bulldogs midfield will also recieve a lift with Brownlow Medalist Adam Cooney set to play, after a solid pre-season.

Daniel Cross, Tom Liberatore and Luke Dahlhaus will also return to the fold to further strengthen the Bulldogs midfield stocks, after their season’s ended prematurely last year.

The Western Bulldogs will take on Essendon and Collingwood in the NAB Cup round one triple-header at Etihad Stadium on Friday 15 February 2013.
