Williamstown has recorded a comprehensive 176 point victory over the Bendigo at Burbank Oval on Saturday.

The Seagulls dominated the contest from start to finish to register their fifth win of the season and move into the second spot on the VFL ladder.

After struggling with inaccuracy early, the Seagulls put their foot down in the second half of the first quarter to kick seven goals in the opening term, establishing a 45 point lead at the first change.

The second quarter was where the Seagulls piled on the scoreboard pressure, kicking 13 goals for the term.

Anthony Anastasio, Jarrad Grant and Patrick Veszpremi were all amongst the goals, as the home side put on a clinic to extend the margin to 115 points at the main break.

It was more of the same in the second half as the Seagulls continued to capitalise on the midfield dominance of Ed Carr, Daniel Cross, Mitch Wallis and Cameron Wood to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

The final score of 30.27.207 was a record high score for the Seagulls against Bendigo, with 15 different individuals getting their name on the scoresheet.

Williamstown will face a huge task this week coming up agains Port Melbourne on Sunday, in a top of the table clash at Burbank Oval.
