Defender Easton Wood says although the loss to the West Coast Eagles was disappointing, the focus has moved quickly to produce a better effort against the Kangaroos this Sunday.
Wood said his teammates would not waver from the direction they set during the pre-season, and have kept the loss in perspective.
“It was disappointing, obviously you come over here and you are hoping to go home with a win but it didn’t fall that way - they are a good team,” Wood said.
“It’s only round one, we have the whole rest of the season to turn it around.”
The 24-year-old said this weekend’s clash against North Melbourne provides a new opportunity to play the hard and tough brand of football the Bulldogs are known for.
“We will go through the game and assess the damage and we will be ready to go next Sunday,” he said.
