Marcus Bontempelli has added to an already impressive debut season resume, announced as a finalist for the 2014 Hungry Jack’s Goal of the Year award.
After claiming the Round 15 Hungry Jack’s Goal of the Year nomination by popular vote for his match winning snap against Melbourne, the All-Australian selectors have hand-picked Bontempelli’s goal amongst the three finalists.

Bontempelli is joined by Adelaide’s Eddie Betts and Port Adelaide’s Matthew White as finalists for this year’s award.
For the first time the winners in each category will be awarded at the Brownlow Medal ceremony at Crown Palladium on September 23 which will be broadcast live by the Seven Network.
At the conclusion of the home and away season, the All-Australian Selection Committee selected the three finalists for marks and goals from the 23 weekly selections. The selection was based on a 5/4/3/2/1 vote given by each member of the selection committee.
The overall winners will be selected by public voting which will close on September 18.
Voting is now open and AFL fans are encouraged to vote for their favourite mark and goal via the AFL website at goaloftheyear.afl.com.au to be in the running for the major cash prizes of $5000 at the end of the season, thanks to Hungry Jack’s.
