Sunday’s clash against the Bombers will give the Bulldogs another chance to gauge their progression against a top eight side and Koby Stevens says his teammates are looking forward to the challenge.
The Bulldogs fell short by eight points the last time the teams met, but can take confidence from outscoring the Bombers in the first(+2), second (+12) and final quarters (+5) of the match.
“They are in really good form and they had a great game on the weekend but we are showing great glimpses of form at the same time,” Stevens said.
“I think it will be a good battle and hopefully we can play to the plan we put forward and hopefully come away with the four points.”
The Bulldogs are coming off a 28-point win against the Gold Coast Suns and have beaten two top eight sides in the past four weeks.
Stevens said he is excited to be part of the build at the kennel and looks forward to a strong finish to the season.
“It’s just the way the young blokes are starting to gel together and the game plan is starting to come together a lot more and we respect each other’s roles a lot more within the team,” he said.
“It’s starting to get pretty special I think.”
