The Western Bulldogs have elevated Lin Jong to their primary list for the remainder of 2014 after a number of quality performances in the VFL this season.
Jong’s rookie elevation comes after Clay Smith sustained a season ending knee injury in the Footscray Bulldogs VFL win a fortnight ago.
Having already played five senior games this year Jong is now eligible to add to that total for the remainder of the season – after Smith’s inclusion on the long-term injury list.
The 21-year-old has been trialled in a number of roles in his young career, but has played predominantly through the midfield and off half back with success this season at VFL level.
Alongside Jong, rookie elevations Mark Austin and Jack Redpath will also continue to be available to play senior AFL football.
