At the conclusion of the project, I’ve learnt so many new things than I never thought I would.
Having the knowledge of coaching and how to teach kids has already been helpful with the running of our community leadership project.
Tayla, Liv and myself took a basic netball clinic at the North Primary School with a group of 20 girls.
They all seemed to enjoy the games and skills we offered and gave us positive feedback at the end of the session.
I have put my name down to help with the net set go at the twilight netball and am going to coach an under 11’s team, hopefully well with I knowledge I now have.
I would like to thank all the council members for this opportunity and let you know that all the young leaders are very thankful for this experience.
Thanks to Mark, Hayley, Kerry and Nathan who made the whole project possible.
Without all the organized sessions, Melbourne trips and activities we would not have gotten as much out of the project as we did.
Last but not least I would like to thank the Mayor John Northcott for noticing this project as a beneficial program for the young of this community.
I hope the Whitten project continues on next year in the Glenelg Shire as its helped me and hopefully the other young leaders.
