The Western Bulldogs will field their most experienced side yet this season with Daniel Giansiracusa and Ryan Hargrave key inclusions to take on Collingwood at Etihad tomorrow night.
With 412 senior games between them, Giansiracusa and Hargrave will add some much needed experience and leadership at both ends of the ground as they prepare to face a solid Collingwood outfit.

After being a late withdrawal in Round 5, Hargrave’s inclusion will greatly bolster the Dogs’ key defensive stocks as they go head to head against Collingwood’s Travis Cloke and Chris Dawes according to Bulldogs Development Manager, Chris Maple.
“We have a big job against the Collingwood forwards… so our guys will have to be right on their game against those big players,” Maple said.
Maple believes that the midfield will be where the game is decided with big name players Matthew Boyd and Ryan Griffen taking on Dane Swan and Scott Pendlebury.
“Midfield where the game is won or lost of course, our mids will be taking on the likes of Swan and Pendlebury - we will have to be very accountable in there and get the ball into our forward line,” he said.
Giansiracusa has also been named on the bench and will provide an extra target in the forward line to work in tandem with Liam Jones and Jordan Roughead.
Also named in the forward line is Patrick Veszpremi who has been predominantly playing in our back half this season.
Complimenting a very versatile interchange bench is Vespremi’s shift in roles from providing rebound out of the back 50 to this week injecting some more pace into the forward line.
“On the interchange we have a very versatile group who can go forward, back or inside with the mids,” Maple said.
“Patrick Veszpremi, showing his versatility, has been named up forward for us… quite a bit of speed mixed with a nice bit of height there with Jones and Roughead.”
Making way for the stalwarts is forward Jarrad Grant with a hip complaint and versatile ruckman Ayce Cordy who is suffering from back tightness.
