On Wednesday 12 November over 60 ESL students from the Werribee and Footscray City Western English Language Schools (WELS) participated in the inaugural SportWest VCAL Gala Day held at Whitten Oval.

This showpiece event was the culmination of an 8 week Fundamental Motor Skills Program that had been delivered to both WELS outposts by students engaged in the Victoria University and Western Bulldogs joint partnership education service SportWest VCAL.

Students from grades prep to six were involved in a series of fun and challenging sporting events organised and conducted by SportWest VCAL students as part of their Community Coaching unit.

Woofer was on hand to assist throughout the event and all participating students were presented with a Western Bulldogs prize pack at days end.
