WESTERN Bulldogs star Liam Picken could be available for Saturday's JLT Community Series clash with Collingwood after pulling up well from a concussion sustained last weekend.

The 31-year-old received the heavy knock in a second-quarter collision with teammate Josh Dunkley during the JLT match against Hawthorn in Ballarat, and lay prone until stretchered from the field by trainers.

The veteran played no further part in the game, but appeared later from the rooms in the company of a club doctor.

Club medical services manager Chris Bell said the club was yet to rule Picken out of the trip to Moe to face the Magpies.

"Liam Picken suffered a concussion during the weekend's game," Bell told AFL.com.au.

"He's come into the club well this week and will be assessed over the coming days.

"We will follow our concussion testing protocol to determine whether he's available to play this week."
