The Western Bulldogs have signed the Victorian Responsible Foundation Responsible Gambling Charter on Monday morning, to mark Responsible Gambling Awareness Week which runs from October 12 to 18.

Western Bulldogs President, Peter Gordon and Bulldogs Chief Executive Officer David Stevenson participated in the signing at the MCG alongside St Kilda and Essendon Football Clubs.

Peter Gordon said today that the Club was proud to partner with the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation in this important initiative.

“As a Club, and leader in our community, we take our responsibility in this space very seriously,” Gordon said.

Under the Charter the Western Bulldogs commit to:

    •    Refraining from making sponsorship deals with sports betting agencies.

    •    Keeping gambling away from areas young people are present including club, social and fundraising activities.

    •    Not providing gambling inducements for awards and prizes and to promote responsible gambling to players, members and visitors.

    •    Commit to engaging with the Gambler’s Help venue support program and help services.

Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation is the Major Partner of the Western Bulldogs Multicultural Programs and also a partner of Sons of the West Men's Health Program.

The Club would like to acknowledge the role of Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation Chief Executive Serge Sardo and the Foundation in leading the way on responsible gambling both in sport and the broader community.
