Season in short:

Recruited with pick 45 in last year’s national draft, Bailey Dale delighted fans with his crafty skills in 2015.

The 19-year-old made his AFL debut in round seven against Fremantle, and finished the year with ten senior games under his belt.

He spent the majority of the season across the wing and half-forward and despite his slight frame, impressed with his attack on the ball and silky ball use.

Dale will no doubt benefit from a full pre-season and looks set to develop into a versatile player.

Stat that mattered:

Dale kicked six goals in his debut season.

What they said:

“It’s been a great year. Obviously to get the opportunity early to play my first game and get that AFL experience has been a great opportunity for me.” – Bailey Dale, September 2015

“With many of our first year players, they all earned their game with solid VFL form… Bailey’s obviously got some maturing to do physically but he doesn’t shy away from a contest.

“I just love the way he hits the ball with speed, his drop of ball craft is really impressive and he uses the ball well so I was super impressed with Bailey this year.” – Steven King (Western Bulldogs Assistant Coach), September 2015
