Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bulldogs each week exclusive to westernbulldogs.com.au.

LAST WEEK

Hopefully you followed my advice last week and brought Mitch Wallis into your Fantasy squad. The midfielder racked up 36 disposals and went up $46K off the back of his 147 points. Wallis’ breakeven is just 9 and he is set for another big price increase.

Defenders Matthew Boyd (127) and Liam Picken (122) continue to hold down many Fantasy back lines while Luke Dahlhaus (113) should definitely be in the mix as one of the top forward this season.

Marcus Bontempelli (81) has had it tough the last few weeks, copping a lot of attention. His three game average is 68.3 and was subbed out of the game with an adductor injury.

TOP 5 SCORERS V GWS GIANTS

  • 143 – Mitch Wallis (MID, $401,000)
  • 127 – Matthew Boyd (DEF/MID, $563,000)
  • 122 – Liam Picken (DEF, $537,000)
  • 113 – Luke Dahlhaus (FWD/MID, $539,000)
  • 100 – Robert Murphy (DEF, $409,000)

ON THE RADAR

Look to grab Wallis this week before we miss the boat on an absolute bargain. A sideways trade from Bontempelli will net you $31,000 that could be handy over the bye rounds.

We’re on the lookout for cheap players to downgrade some of our rookies to. Joel Hamling (68) made an impressive debut collecting 16 disposals and seven marks. The defender has a breakeven of -6 and can be picked up for just $140,000. Get on board!

WHAT’S COMING UP

The Bulldogs travel to Adelaide Oval to take on the Power on Saturday night.

Last time the two sides met, Jackson Macrae (103) was the best for the Dogs with 27 touches, six marks and five tackles. Matthew Boyd (92) and Nathan Hrovat (90) were also among the big ball winners in the round 14 loss last year.
