After a 1-1 win-loss record in their opening two NAB Challenge matches, the Bulldogs made a bold statement in their final pre-season hit out.

In only their second match following Tom Liberatore’s season ending knee injury, the Dogs midfield group stood up as they did for the remainder of the year.

Some brilliance from Marcus Bontempelli, Mitch Wallis and Luke Dahlhaus saw the Dogs record a 61-point victory against Collingwood and set the tone for a breakout season

Despite being a pre-season game, the confidence gained from the win against the Pies provided a launch-pad for the fearless and daring game style the Bulldogs would implement in the season proper.

The Dogs led the count in tackles and were able to force several turnovers to contribute to the victory – a highlight of the 2015 season.

They also led the clearances, stoppages, inside 50s, contested possessions and hit outs in a dominant display.
