The Western Bulldogs playing group won’t be the only ones on show at this year’s Community Festival & Family Day this Sunday 28 February.

They will be joined by many other western suburb icons including Scienceworks, Footscray Community Arts Centre, Pivot West and many more!

This day provides you, our Members and supporters with the best opportunity to secure autographs with your favourite players and see the entire team presented together, on stage for the very first time in 2010. So tell all of your friends and be sure to come along this Sunday to celebrate with your favourite team!!

Proudly presented by Mission Foods, together with Worksafe and KooGa, this year’s Community Festival & Family Day will also include:

Here’s just a sneak preview at some new exhibitors for this year:

Women of the West: Women of the West are making a comeback in 2010, and will be at the event asking ‘What Women Want’.  Visit their stand and give your opinion to help shape the direction for this year and you will receive a voucher for a pancake with whipped butter and maple syrup, compliments of The Pancake Parlour - yum! 
Everyone who joins WOW at the event will go into the draw for some great prizes. 

Western Bulldogs Forever Foundation: Be part of history: 2010 will mark the 5th year of the Forever Foundation’s challenging task of raising funds for the Whitten Oval redevelopment - the most significant project undertaken in the history of our Club.
The Forever Foundation is registered with the Australian Sports Foundation which allows donors to make tax deductible donations in support of the Whitten Oval Redevelopment project, visit their stand to find our how you can play your role.

Footy Cards.com.au: Footycards.com.au sell a huge range of football cards and collectables, including membership tickets and WEG posters featuring the Western Bulldogs from all different era’s, starting in 1900 through to the present day. Add them to your own collection to build or finish sets, or buy a team set as gift for your family and friends.
 
Scienceworks: Scienceworks makes learning about science and technology a fun, interactive adventure.  The museum presents science and technology in unexpected and involving ways and is a great place to challenge curious minds and keep active bodies busy.
Participating in the Community Festival & Family Day for the first time, the crew from Scienceworks will have some hands on activities for the kids, including the cup and ball catching games that aren’t only classic fun games; they also provide a great way of testing one’s hand to eye coordination, giving those aspiring young bulldog and football fans a chance to improve their skills.
Together with make and take activities, this marquee is guaranteed to keep the kids entertained.

Pivot West StreetHealth:
PivotWest has established StreetHealth, which is an innovative mobile, ‘street based’ after hours primary health service for homeless, transient, and other disadvantaged groups. StreetHealth provides comprehensive medical services, such as; health checks, blood tests, vaccinations, counselling, men’s and women’s health, preventative health and minor procedures.
Visit the team at StreetHealth to learn about Stroke awareness and be educated with a diabetic risk assessment tool.
