Kieran Collins is set to be the fourth player to make his debut for the Western Bulldogs this season, after being named in the back-pocket to face the Greater Western Sydney Giants on Sunday.

The former Dandenong Stingray was taken with pick 26 in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft, with assistant coach Joel Corey telling westernbulldogs.com.au that the 18-year-old Collins has a promising future at the Club if he continues to put the work in.

“It’s Kieran’s first year at the football Club, and he hasn’t missed too much," Corey said.

“He’s got some great conditioning in, he looks to be a player for the future and it’ll be great to see him first up.”

The Bulldogs will also welcome the return of Koby Stevens, who’s been named on a forward-flank after recovering from an abdominal strain that has kept him out of the side since Round six.

“Koby’s building out a nice little year," he said.

“It’s a little bit unfortunate the way it was interrupted, [but] he’s worked hard in rehab, hopefully he comes back in and performs straight away.”

Stevens has been named on the half-forward flank in the squad for Sunday.

Lin Jong, Mitch Honeychurch and veteran ruckman Will Minson join Toby McLean, Bailey Dale, Bailey Williams and Caleb Daniel on an extended bench ahead of the Sunday afternoon fixture.
