The Western Bulldogs are leading the pack when it comes to year-to-year crowd averages according to figures sourced from Champion Data.
The Dogs are averaging 34,194 at their games this season, 7,140 up on last years number of 27,054, the 26% spike the largest in the League.
St.Kilda’s improved on-field performance has seen their crowds jump by 5,600 per game, followed by Geelong (3,636), Melbourne (2,825) and Carlton (2,152).
League-wide attendance is down slightly on 2015, but the Bulldogs’ exciting style of football has seen fans stream through the gates to watch Luke Beveridge’s men in 2016, while membership has reached record levels for the second year running.
The Dogs will face traditionally big drawing Melbourne clubs Richmond (round 17), Collingwood (round 21) and Essendon (round 22) on the run home, as well as blockbuster fixtures against Geelong and North Melbourne in rounds 20 and 21.
