The Bulldogs 32-point victory on Saturday afternoon over Collingwood saw the Bulldogs earn the second-chance for the third year in a row, setting up a First Qualifying Final against the Casey Scorpions on Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields.
Bailey Dale was the standout for Footscray, picking up 23 touches, taking eight marks and kicking three goals, including two in the final term to ice the game for the Dogs.
Jake Stringer moved between midfield and forward roles across the afternoon and kicked the Bulldogs first goal of the match. He finished the game with 23 disposals, four tackles and was named in the best.
Ruckman Tom Campbell left the field early after a knock to the head and played no further part in the match.
