It might be a Greater Western Sydney home game, but Spotless Stadium will be awash with red, white and blue, with Bulldogs fans set to outnumber Giants when the two sides play off for a grand final berth on Saturday.

Just 700 tickets remained as of Tuesday night, with 8100 sold to traveling Western Bulldogs members, most of them in the first two hours of sale on Monday morning.

Matthew Suckling, speaking to Triple M’s Hot Breakfast on Tuesday said the players appreciated the support of the Bulldogs faithful.

“I think it’s really exciting that a lot of Bulldogs fans are going to make the trip up and it’ll hopefully make things a bit easier for us with a bit more support there,” Suckling said.

Speaking to media following the Club’s semi-final defeat of Hawthorn last Friday, Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge joked that the League should consider an even split of tickets to ensure Dogs’ fans could see their team in its first preliminary final since 2010.

"I'd imagine there'd be quite a few Bulldogs fans and people that'd want to go," Beveridge said after the 23-point win.

But Bulldogs members have gone one better, snapping up 1,900 more than their northern counterparts, potentially turning the 24,000 set Spotless Stadium into a Bulldogs-friendly venue.

Thousands packed VU Whitten Oval for the Club's final open training session of the week, yesterday, as the side prepares for it's first preliminary final since 2010.

Just 700 tickets remained for sale on Tuesday night.
