Marcus Bontempelli has moved into fifth place in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award, after polling votes in the Bulldogs’ loss to St Kilda on Saturday night.
The 20-year-old midfielder was the only Bulldog to receive votes from coaches Alan Richardson and Luke Beveridge, rewarded for his three goal, seven marks and 25 disposal performance.
St Kilda’s Jack Steven was awarded best afield honours from the coaches, receiving nine votes for his 39 disposal performance.
