Ahead of the first round of the AFL Women’s Exhibition Series, the Western Bulldogs have announced the retention of 15 players from the Club’s 2015 squad.
Coach Craig Starcevich and Captain Stephanie Chiocci will again lead the side in the new year, with the team’s first match this Sunday against Melbourne at Highgate Recreation Reserve in Craigieburn.
Sunday’s match will be part of a double-header at the suburban venue, immediately following the Bulldogs and Demons' NAB Challenge match.
Last year’s women’s team best and fairest winner Katie Brennan is amongst the retained players, alongside 2015 top mini-draft pick Brianna Davey.
The Western Bulldogs’ women’s team for Sunday’s match will be released Thursday, including the announcement of the new recruits.
