New recruit Josh Bruce has high hopes for the Western Bulldogs in 2020.
After starting his career with 14 games at the GWS Giants, Bruce established himself as a key forward with St Kilda over six seasons and 99 matches.
But there’s one thing that has eluded him so far in his career.
A taste of finals football.
The 27-year-old is hoping the Bulldogs can build on their promising 2019 campaign, and that he can he can help them take another step forward next season.
“(A few) years ago when they won the flag, I was obviously very envious,” Bruce told media this week when making his first appearance at VU Whitten Oval.
KEATH COMMITTED TO KENNEL CAUSE
“To be consistently a strong side and to play finals this year, it’s something that I’m desperate to be a part of.
“I’m really excited about the potential for the team next year and in the upcoming years.
“Some of the talent they’ve got here is incredible, and I’m looking to working alongside (this group) and trying to lead the forward line a little bit and be cannon-fodder for young ‘Naughts’ and take a hit for him and Schache.
