Western Bulldogs utility Naomi Ferres is the NAB AFL Women's Rising Star nominee for round seven.
Ferres and Crows defender Anne Hatchard were recognised for their performances in the final round of the AFLW home and away season.
Selected at pick #3 in the 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Rookie Draft, Ferres was quickly upgraded to the senior list, making her debut in round one.
A consistent performer throughout the season, Ferres is the fifth Bulldog to be nominated as a Rising Star, using her solid ball skills and providing pace out of the pack in the Club’s two-point win over Melbourne on Saturday night.
All AFLW players 21 years and under as at 1 January 2018 and who have not previously been nominated as a rising star qualify for consideration for the award.
The Western Bulldogs will face Brisbane in the 2018 NAB AFL Women’s Grand Final at Ikon Park at 12.35pm on Saturday.
