The Footscray Bulldogs will take on Port Melbourne this Saturday, in an attempt to secure a top eight position before the 2018 Peter Jackson VFL finals series.
The Bulldogs have named eight AFL listed players ahead of the match, including Shane Biggs who announced his retirement from AFL football this afternoon.
Co-captain Angus Monfries told westernbulldogs.com.au that the team are looking forward to this week’s home game, with hopes of securing a place in the top eight.
“Everyone’s really positive and hopeful that we can have a win,” said Monfries.
“The group’s really gelled together and become a really tight unit – we’re doing our best every week and have become really competitive.”
