Rhylee West was just a kid running around the rooms post-game when Dale Morris was in his earliest seasons at the Western Bulldogs.
Fast-forward ten years and the son of seven-time club champion Scott West will now play alongside Morris.

“I’ve come across some of the players that dad played with and they all tell me they remember seeing me in the rooms as a little fella,” Rhylee told SEN.
“Now I’m playing with Moz who played with dad. I guess it’s pretty surreal.”
Morris will enter his 15th season in 2019, and West said it will be special to rekindle the bond.
WEST TO WEAR DAD’S ORIGINAL NUMBER
“Moz has had his setbacks but he’s pushed through them and he’s still playing today and is a great player,” Rhylee said.
“It’s great that I get to play with him and share a bond with him that dad had those years ago.”
West said he can’t wait to get started at the club that meant so much to his father.
“The main goal was to get to an AFL club and get on an AFL list, but I guess when you can add that extra sentiment to it playing at the Dogs where dad played, it’s a bit more special,” he said.
