Western Bulldogs sharp-shooter Tory Dickson looks set to resume training soon after missing the past five weeks with a hamstring strain, while Matthew Suckling has also hit the track.
Dickson has played five games for four goals in 2018, but left the round 11 clash against Melbourne early after grabbing at his hamstring late in the first quarter. Scans later confirmed a low grade tear.
Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge, speaking to the media on Tuesday, said he’s hopeful the 30-year-old is available for the St.Kilda game in round 20.
“He's due to come back into full training with the main group probably next Sunday when we play Port Adelaide in Ballarat,” he said.
“Then hopefully he plays the week after, or he can squeeze a few games in before the end of the year.
“He's had a tough '17 and '18. we just haven't seen enough of him, he's had injury after injury.”
Beveridge also said he was hopeful Matthew Suckling would be back on the field before the season was out as he continues to battle an achilles injury.
“He's had both achilles nag at him over the last two years, (and) we haven't had him at 100% over that duration which is unfortunate.
“Just speaking to him then, he's going to try and run this afternoon and hopefully we can get a few games into Matty before the season is out.”
Suckling’s last game was also against Melbourne in round 11 after he was a late withdrawal ahead of the Club’s meeting with Geelong in round 15.
