Western Bulldogs captain Robert Murphy says that he’s in no rush to decide whether he’ll play on next season, and a final decision will be taken at the end of the season in collaboration with the club, he told SEN radio on Wednesday morning.
"It should be a collaboration, it won't be an, I want, they want," Murphy said.
"It will be a 'what do you think? Let's have a chat'.
"Get through the winter and then see where the cards are."
Murphy has played 301 games since being taken as the 13th pick in the 1999 AFL National Draft, and now into his 18th season, he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Averaging over 20 disposals for the seventh year running, he’s also gone forward more this season, and at just under a goal a game, it’s his highest per-game average since the 2008 season when he kicked 34 for the season.
The Bulldogs are currently in seventh place on the AFL ladder and face Richmond on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.
