Western Bulldogs midfielder Jack Macrae has moved into fifth place on the AFLCA leaderboard after picking up 10 votes in Ballarat on the weekend.

It was Macrae’s second straight 40 disposal performance at Mars Stadium, but this time he added a career-high 23 contested possessions, 12 clearances, also a career-high, as well as 10 score involvements, seven tackles, six inside 50s and a goal.

Stand-in skipper was also among the votes, with eight, as was Toby McLean (6), Bailey Williams (4) and Luke Dahlhaus (1).

Every round, the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5.
