Son of former Dog Brian, Zaine Cordy joined the Bulldogs in the 2014 national draft at pick 62 as a father-son recruit.
A versatile and athletic defender, Cordy was rated a top-30 prospect before draft bidding and slipped through to the fourth round.

After an up and down season with the Geelong Falcons in 2014 due to injury, Cordy ultimately impressed with his ability to play on both tall and small forwards, and with natural speed and foot skills, Cordy has the potential to become a long-term key defender for the Bulldogs.
