Western Bulldogs midfielder Adam Treloar will miss the start of 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership season after injuring his calf at training last week.

Treloar sustained an acute muscle strain in his calf, which will see the 31-year-old enter a rehab model for the next 8-10 weeks.

Bulldogs Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell said that a conservative management plan would take place to best prepare Treloar for the season ahead.

“Appreciating the continuity and significant amount of pre-season training that is required to support durability and performance across an AFL season, we will need to be conservative with Adam’s rehabilitation and reconditioning timeline,” Bell said.

A more accurate return-to-play timeline will be established following this period.
