Elaine Grigg has been nominated for the 2024 Telstra AFLW Rising Star award following a standout performance in the Week 8 win over Carlton.

Grigg collected 13 disposals, 10 tackles (equal game-high) and a goal against the Blues, contributing to a 33-point win at IKON Park.

Born in Kenya, the 18-year-old has been an important contributor in her debut season, taking the AFLW world by storm with her pressure, tackling and speed.

Grigg was selected with the Dogs’ third pick (Pick 6) in the 2023 AFLW Draft from the SANFLW’s Central Districts.
