Bulldogs backline coach Daniel Pratt has been rewarded for an outstanding first season at Mission Whitten Oval, claiming the AFL Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year award.
The 41-year-old crossed over from the West Coast Eagles at the beginning of the year to take over the defensive stocks, notably forming part of the coaching panel that secured the 2018 Premiership.
Pratt won the award ahead of North Melbourne’s Jed Adcock and St Kilda’s Corey Enright.
As part of the backline, Bailey Dale made the 40-man All Australian squad, while forward-turned-back Rory Lobb excelled as an intercept defender later in the season.
New to the Club this season, Pratt joined Matt Spangher (forwards) and Brendon Lade (midfield) as line coaches.
