It’s been a long-time coming but, AFLW is finally back at Mission Whitten Oval for the first time in 2024.
In honour of our homecoming this Thursday night, we’ll be celebrating the best of the West in a special ‘Locals’ night’.

Before the bounce
From 6:15pm, take a stroll through our local makers pop-up market featuring homemade accessories from Bejewelled Creative Designs, jewellery from Rock and Clay and the best treats for your favourite four-legged friends from Doggy Devoted.
You can also test your athletic reflexes with VU’s reaction and jump tests.
Plus, if you love your animals we’ll have a special surprise with our friends from All 4 Paws Dog Rescue setting up so you can get a pre-game cuddle in with a puppy and, of course, Sunny and Caeser will also be there for a photo and a pat.
Something to eat
There’s something for even the fussiest eater this Thursday night. Mr. Baller will be serving up mouthwatering meatball subs throughout the night and the Pancake Parlour Pancake Pocket is back by popular demand. Our friends from ALFA café will also have all your usual footy favourites ready to go.

What’s a night at the footy without a raffle?
We’re giving you the chance to win prizes from some of our favourite local venues including vouchers for restaurants, bars and, yes, there is also a meat tray up for grabs.
Live performances
We’re lucky to have the Footscray-Yarraville City Brass Band keeping the vibes high with some of your all-time favourites. Williamstown locals, Lifestyle for Kids dance crew will also be down at the ground for a performance not to miss.
For the kids
Our fan-zone will be up-and-running to keep the young Dogs busy throughout the night with footy activities, mascots and free giveaways including our limited-edition Rise with Us tote bags (subject to availability) and temporary tattoos. Macca’s Kick-to-kick will take place on the ground following the game.
