What it means

It’s do-or-die for the Dogs this weekend – a win will see them progress to a semi-final against the loser of Port Adelaide/Geelong, while a loss will see their 2024 campaign come to an end. Playing their first final in Melbourne since 2016 in front of what could be 90k, there is plenty to be excited about come Friday night.

Who to watch

All eyes will be on Adam Treloar tomorrow night, with 31-year-old proving his fitness to play in what will mark his 14th finals appearance. Of those games he’s won seven – three in the red, white and blue. Fresh off his maiden All Australian blazer last week, Treloar will be looking to continue his purple patch of form into what is hopefully a four-week finals series.

Richards/Pannam family tree breaks record

When Ed Richards takes to the field on Friday night, he’ll help his family break new ground – equalling the record for most games by a family in V/AFL history. Between Richards and six of his relatives, the Richards/Pannam family have tallied 1063 games to this point – currently sitting second to only the Shaws (1064 games).

Jonesy’s milestone

Defender Liam Jones will celebrate the double-century this Friday night, a milestone 14 years in the making. Returning to the Dogs after a seven-year stint at Carlton created somewhat of a full circle moment for the 33-year-old, having played 20 matches this season to reach the elusive 200-game club. Friday night will also mark Jones’ first-ever final, adding another exciting layer to the outing.

Dogs’ double-header delight

Prior to the Elimination Final, the AFLW Bulldogs will host Port Adelaide at the MCG in a Dogs’ double-header delight. The first bounce of the W will be 4.30pm, with tickets valid for both games.
